MRS. VICTORIA ANDERSON NEW SWEDEN – Mrs. Victoria Sophia Anderson, 87, the widow of Oran A. Anderson, died Sunday at a Bangor hospital following a long illness. She was born march 29, 1882 in Dergestana, Sweden, the daughter of Alexious and Maria Ann Joranson. Mrs. Anderson had been a resident of New Sweden for many years. Surviving are three sons, Aleck of Upton Lane, N. H., Joseph of Melrose, Mass., and Ralph of New Sweden; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Gooding, Caribou; a brother, Veccilous Joranson of Alingsas, Sweden; a sister, Mrs. Alice Thorn of Alingsas, Sweden; 11 grand-children and three great-grand-children. Friends may call at the Mockler Funeral Home in Caribou Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Dwayne Toppenberg of the Seventh Day Adventist church of Presque Isle officiating. Burial will be in New Sweden Cemetery. Published in the Bangor Newspaper.
