Upon much research and based on the findings, I believe that Edwin Beaver was NOT my great grandma Violet's biological father. Per the 1910 census for her "parents", they actually did not have Violet and Emma listed she had 0 born children and 0 children living. They did not live with her mother, Eliza Smith. Instead, Eliza Smith listed having a child named Violet M. Smith born in 1903. At first I thought this was the daughter, Mary M. Wilson mentioned in the obituary for Eliza when she passed but I couldn't really find info for either and Violet Smith just disappeared. On the next census for 1920 it lists Emma as living with Eliza once again and Violet as her daughter who was 17 which lines up with a 1903 birth year. Also, Violet's birth record was not put in the system until 1914 and indicates that it was in a different place and also not filed until that year. Edwin passed away in 1913. I have updated some of the info as such to reflect these changes. Also, Violet appeared to be mixed race and Edwin did not indicating that Violet's biological father may have been mixed themselves or fully black.
