She was preceded in death by her parents, George Malcolm Landry and Judith Waguespack Landry; and two sisters, Jackie Guidroz and Lynn Hillburn.
Virginia Daigle died in her home of natural causes with her devoted husband of 57 years by her side. As a devout Catholic, she donated every Monday for 34 years to Masion De Ville as a volunteer in the hair salon. She befriended and loved "her little old ladies." She was a member of St. Francis Altar Society for 10 years where she lovingly cared for the purificators of the church. Part of her routine (on her calendar) was attending weekly adoration at St. Francis de Sales' Chapel. Virginia's love for plants, passed down from her father was big part of her life. She came to love her orchids and grew as many as 400 at one time at the family home on Sherman Street. Her new love became her small brick house on June Drive where her hobby was scaled down to 40 plants that she tenderly cared for. The constant in Virginia's life was her family. There is not a prouder mom that loved her children more. She reveled in their lives as well as their accomplishments. It was a well known tradition for her to prepare breakfast every Sunday morning after 8 a.m. mass for family and friends. This tradition has given her children and grandchildren treasured memories that will last a life time. Her dedication and daily prayers instilled a life long commitment to our family unity.
Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
