Virginia H. Fleming May 28, 1918 - Oct. 7, 2011
Long time Antioch resident Virginia Fleming passed away peacefully on Friday night. She touched the lives of both family and friends with her energy, positive attitude and generosity. Virginia was born in Woodland, resided both there and in Richmond, graduating from Healdsburg High School. She married Lloyd Fleming shortly thereafter and worked briefly in San Francisco before starting a family. The family moved to Antioch in 1949 where Lloyd started a boat repair business. In 1955 they purchased the marina near Antioch Bridge known as Lloyd's Holiday Harbor [ http://www.lloydshh.com/ ]. She worked as office manager for the marina for many years and briefly held a yacht sales license. The family hosted American Field Service student, Anne-Sofie Nielsen during the 1960-61 school year. During early years in Antioch she was a leader in both Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts. Later she became an active member of Soroptomists International, Native Daughters of the Golden West, the Congregational Church and Antioch Women's Golf Club. Virginia held many offices in both
