About Virginia Weeks
Virginia Tatum Weeks, 85, of Waycross died Wednesday morning (April 11, 2007) at the Pierce County Nursing Home after a lengthy illness. She was a native of West Point, GA and lived most of her life in Waycross. Ms. Weeks was a great Seamstress and owned and operated The Fabric House on Jane Street. She was of the Methodist faith. Her parents were the late Earl and Esther Williams Tatum. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Robert Weeks, Sr..
Survivors include two sons, William Robert Weeks, Jacksonville, FL, Jeffery Allen Weeks, Abbeville, GA, three daughters, Patricia Louise Romigh (Joe), Colquitt, GA, Sue Ellen Howell, Ocilla, GA, Colleen Kogos, Jacksonville, FL, one brother, Earl Tatum, Chester, VA, one sister, LaVetta Corley, Dothan, AL, 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and other relatives.
A funeral service will be held Friday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. at the Miles-Odum Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday afternoon from 1 - 2 pm at the funeral home.
