About Wade Mosby
A Patriot of the American Revolution for Virginia with the rank of Captain. DAR Ancestor #: A081936
Wade Mosby (born 1761 ) was son of Littleberry Mosby (died 1809 ), of Powhatan County (see Vol. II, p. 885 for his will); grandson of Benjamin Mosby (died 1774 ), of Cumberland County ; great grandson of Edward Mosby (circa 1660-1742 ), of Henrico County .
"Copied from a page which had evidently been cut from an old Bible, said page was yellow with age and was sent by P. G. Miller , of Powhatan, who stated in his letter of Apr. 20, 1905 , that said page belonged to Charles L. Mosby , of Powhatan Co. " (A note in handwriting of Edward Pleasants Valentine .)
Wade Mosby was married to Susanna Trueheart , his wife, the 13th day of April, 1785 , by the Revd. John Buchanan .
