About "Walter Blenke"
"Walter BLENKE BLENCKE", né Adam Ludwig Hans BLENCKE: b. 14 April 1879, Berlin - d. ?
Information courtesy of various sources, including the following:
N.B. Walter was initially known under the original surname "BLENCKE" but in Austria he was generally presented as "BLENKE".
Several mentions in German newspapers show that he began his acting career in that country, in Hamburg, for example, but especially in Berlin.
He apparently moved to Austria in circa 1905 and his name starts to appear there in cast lists for theatre in Graz and then Vienna.
A sole mention found so far of his being "from Berlin":
ANNO, Wiener Zeitung, 1906-08-18, Seite 23

Presumably Walter met his future wife through theatre work with her, although this professed profession of hers cannot be confirmed clearly as of yet - cf. notes on her profile page.

In 1911, at the time of his marriage, recurring advertisements placed by him, describing himself as "Regisseur im Theater in der Josefstadt", offering drama classes. The home address given is precisely the one he provides on marriage registration i.e, "Laimgrubengasse 17".

Strangely there are absolutely no mentions of him - either as actor or as a private person - to be traced after 1935.
Presumably he may have died or at least become too ill to pursue his career at around this time ...?
