About Walter Samuel Bird Dickerson
GEDCOM Note
"Walter was a miner. He lived in Westgate, Guisborough. He was knocked down by a bus at age 74 and died.Death notices identify that granddaughters who attended his funeral were Dank, J Milburn, Combellech, Seese, Jenkinson, Buckle Grandsons were S Butchart, H ord, r Cowen, F Sutcliffe, M Jardine. "
From where could these grandchildren have come since Walter and his brother were Dickersons and their sister was my grandmother? Document of a Walter and William Dickerson as Thatchers in Seething, 36 miles away in 1908. Not the same family I think.1881 A warehouse porter at age 15, living with grandparents Samuel and Ann and brother George. 1871 living with grandparents and brother (?) Robert. 1939 record indicates him as Ironstone Miner (retired). Then on old age pension.
