WALTER EDGAR

According to the late A. Francis Steuart, Walter Edgar is the son of Sir Patrick Edgar. His mother was evidently a daughter of Walter son of Alan (aka Walter of Ruthven). He is said by him to have had two charter for the lands of Easter and Wester Cultmalundie from his uncle Gilbert of Ruthven. The charters were undated but are said to have been confirmed by Alexander III, King of Scots, on 16 May 1279. The Scots Peerage IV: 255
