Walter Ruben, 82, died Aug. 12, 2010, at Martin Memorial Medical Center, Stuart. He was born in Free City of Danzing and lived in Stuart for six months, coming from North Salem, N.Y. He studied at the Manhattan School of Music and the Julliard School of Music. Before retirement, he worked as a manufacturing consultant in the candy industry. He was an accomplished jazz pianist having preformed in many clubs and hotels in New York City. Survivors include his former wife, Della R. Mancuso of North Salem, N.Y.; and sister, Lillian Ruben of Brooklyn, N.Y. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Janet Burford. SERVICES: No services are scheduled locally. Services will later take place in New York. Arrangements are by All County Funeral Home & Crematory Treasure Coast Chapel.
Note: Walter Ruben and Ernest Lissner were involved in the Star Chocolate Factory, Located in New York City.
