Wanda Mari Neethling (1956 - 2005)
Brief overview:
Wanda (48), was killed in March 2005 by two men, who had previously worked briefly on the gardening team at her indigenous tree nursery.
The men knew that her four fierce ridgeback dogs could only be deterred by gunfire. Baba fired shots with a stolen pistol and together with Sitoto killed their victim in her garage on the Lowanee smallholding off Lady Loch Road. She was stabbed in the heart with a knife and beaten to death with an oar.

- No family, neither of the murdered Wanda Neethling of Wellington, or of the two murderers from the New Rest residential area near her smallholding, were in court last week when stiff sentences were imposed.
- Lulu Baba (22), and Wandesile Sitoto (20), stared at them emotionally in the Cape Town High Court when they were sentenced to 24 years and 22 years in prison respectively.
