About Wanton Devol

Allen Devol, from Rhode Island, was a nephew of Captain Jonathan Devol. He came with the first company to donation lot, and joined the Waterford Association, who began their settlement in April, 1789. He married Ruth Jennings, and lived in the garrison until the close of the war, when he removed to his land on the productive alluvial soil of Round Bottom, and settled on a farm near to those of Samuel Cushing and Benjamin Shaw.

The above states that his wife was Ruth Jennings. I think that this is a mistake. His mother was a Jennings, but his wife from what I found, was a Ruth Bennett. I am open, however to what others can find.
