Wayne Adendorff (1981 – 2013)

Brief overview:

Wayne (32), his brother Shaun (34) and two friends were involved in a car accident on Friday 12th October 2013 at around 21h30, on the R101, Old Johannesburg Road in Midrand. Shaun, who was driving, swerved to miss an oncoming vehicle, and lost control of the car, which then rolled and hit a tree and landed up in a ditch. The other vehicle sped away. Around fifteen people ambushed their vehicle and pulled Wayne, Shaun and their two friends from the wreckage and robbed them of their cell phones, then ran away when the towing trucks arrived. Wayne who was left paralysed was transferred to the intensive care unit of the Unitas Hospital in Centurion where he passed away on 2nd November. According to Shaun, the doctors said that Wayne was paralysed from the chest down, probably from being pulled from the car.
