Wilhelm Daenhardt went by William D. Rose most of his life. His mother died in childbirth (1859) when he was three and he was then brought to the United States on the ship (Monarch of the Sea) arriving in New York on 6/15/1864 with his uncle, Ole and aunt, Maven Rose. He took their last name, his mother's maiden name. They all settled in Hyrum, UT. He married Cecilia in 1877 at the age of 21. They were found in Hyrum in the 1880, 1900, 1910, and 1930 census records. In 1880, just baby, Lucy was at home. By 1900, Cecilia had died and Lucy, Conrad, Nellie, William, Emma and Maud were at home. William was still widowed in 1910, but by 1920 he had married Ida and they were in Cotteral, Idaho. They were back in Hyrum in 1930 where he died 5 years later.
