Liewe ouers en Broer,
Met die gesondheid nog helemaal gaaf deur die wil van die liewe Heer, en ek hoop om die selfde weer van moeder hulle te ontvang.
Moeder ek het nog nie veel nuus om van te skryf nie, want ek het maar gister eens in die kamp gekom.
Ai mens maar dit het lekker hier gereën toe ons die dag van die huis af is het dit op Swartruggens begin reen, en dit het aangehou tot gister aan op Swartruggens het dit gehaël ook, maar gelukkig dit was nie groot haël nie.
Het pa toe gaan kyk na die ploeg, en hoe lyk die ploeg nog, stuur net vir Ivy 'n telegram vir die geld, dan kan sy dit vir pa stuur.
Moeder suster Maraaitjie het die Donderdag saam met ons gekom tot by tant Miemie, sy het daar gaan kuier vir die naweek.
Moeder Jimmy was die aand op die stasie om ons daar te kry.
Wel ouers daar die nuus my ontbreek sal ek nou maar sluit met beste groete aan moeder Vader en broer.
Van moeder en Vader se verlangende kind.
