William Worden Allen was a high energy, muscular man who attacked physical jobs with great vigour and good humour. His hair turned grey by the time he was 45 but his vigour continued well into his '80's. He lived until age 90.
On the afternoon of Sunday, Oct 22, 2006 I visited with my father and mother. It was the afternoon before Dad's passing early on the morning of October 23. With me was my gymnastic granddaughter who performed flips and handstands to the delight of her Great Grandfather and Great Grandmother. Dad had an appointment with his cardiologist on Monday morning and was anxious about it. He died peacefully lying on his bed before breakfast.
Six months earkier I took the photo which I have posted. At that time William Worden Allen was age 90 years and 4 months old.
