In 1800 census in Kershaw Co, SC, a WILLIAM ALDRAGE and ELIJAH ALDRAGE are listed as heads of household in the 1800 Kershaw Co, SC census (William: 00010-00001-00 and Elijah: 00100-00100-00). William b. 1755-1774; Elijah b. 1775-1784. They are also adjacent to Asa Bell (10010-30010-00), b. 1775-84, who married Ann Arledge, b. 1775-84.

17 March 1799 Deed from William Arledge Sr. of Fairfield to William Arledge Junr. of Fairfield for 50 acres part of tract granted to Matthias Fellows 22 Nov 1771. Wit: Asa Bell, Moses Arledge, Elijah Arledge.

Graham Louer wrote: "On 6 Dec 1813 Mary Arledge applied for administration of the estaste of William Arledge "of Camden, planter." She was subsequently granted administration, her securities being Thomas Duren and John Henson. Security was in the amount of $3000."

Graham Louer wrote: "The last date at which Mary gave an accounting was 24 Feb 1817, the same day on which the ordinary ordered the accounts to be recorded, which may mean the estate had been 'settled'. There is no mention of division of the estate, nor of any other children [other than daughters Mary and Elizabeth]."
