About William Burrage
Of John Burrage's two surviving sons, William for a while followed the seas, but in 1714 he was described as "William Burridge, of Newton, Husbandman." He died in 1720.
His children were:
- Elizabeth, born June 10, 1691 (in Boston), m. Oct. 22, 117, John Cheney.
- John, b. Feb. 11, 1693 (in Boston) married (first) Oct. 9, 1718, Lydia Ward, (second) Jan. 17, 1725, Sarah Smith; died Jan. 24, 1765.
- Sarah, b. Sept. 21, 1695 (in Boston), m. Benjamin Adams, of Newton.
- Lydia, m. April 24, 1729, John Cheney.
- Abigail, m. June 2, 1729, Edward Prentice. Ruth, m. Oct., 1731, Ebenezer Segur.
