The body of T-5 William Robert Coon, 21, son of Mr. and Mrs. James H. Coon, 2810 Elida-rd, who was killed in action during World War II, will arrive in Lima at 12:35 p.m. Thursday for reburial rites.
T-5 Coon was killed in downtown Manila on May 24, 1945. At the time of his death, he was a member of Co. B, 68th Signal battalion.
Born June 8, 1923, T-5 Coon was a graduate of Elida high school. Prior to his induction into service on Mar. 10, 1943, he was employed by the Mundhenk Optical Co.
