William Corbin

Birth: Nov. 10, 1749 Stafford County Virginia, USA Death: Apr. 15, 1815 Culpeper County Virginia, USA

According to the 1810 Culpeper Census, he lived on the original Corbin plantation known as "Mountain View", located and currently known as Henselstone farm in the fork of Korea and Amissville roads.

Mr and Mrs A. M. Prichard visited the old Corbin Homestead in Rappahannock County. It is located about midway between Amissville and Viewtown. The place was formerly known as the Armstead Corbin homestead and is doubtless the same property that was conveyed to Armstead Corbin by his parents, William and Sally Corbin, by deed of 10 Jan 1812 recorded in Culpeper deed Book EE, page 508, describing it as a 73 1/2 acres of land on Crooked Run, whereon the said William Corbin formerly lived.
