About William Farrow, Convict "Surrey" 1831

William was convicted in Essex in 1838 for stealing sacks and a smock frock (garment to protect clothing while working). But he escaped from the Chelmsford Shire Hall and was on the run for 6 months until his recapture in 29 March 1839. Was a convict sent to Norfolk Island in 1840 then to Hobart Tasmania 3 March 1844 and given a free pardon. first marriage to Mary Ann Gymer and had two children, Louisa and Mary Ann junior.
