William Graham (born August 25, 1821 in Darlington , died on April 3, 1909 ) was an English train driver . In 1854 he was brought to Oslo to lead locomotive on Norway's first official route on the Main Line between Oslo and Eidsvoll . September 1, he brought the train and got after it the nickname "Norway's first train driver", a title which is also applied his headstone.

When Graham moved to Oslo in 1854 he took with his wife and seven children. He had worked for several years as train drivers in England . After arriving Oslo helped himself to the construction of the stretch. He and his family were resident in Norway. After his wife died, he married again with Tonette Andersdatter from Vestre Toten . They had three children together.

Working as train driver in Norway mid 1800's was harsh. It was no built cab so that the driver sat in the rain, wind and snow per Grahams descendants, he was rarely ill. He worked on the Main Line, with only a few exceptions show guards at Kongsvingerbanen , until he retired in 1890.
