I have heard he was in the Civil War but haven't been able to find records supporting this information. He was of able age to be in the war between the states and haven't found a death cert stating the cause of death either.

  • *According to a letter his mother wrote she had said she had 10 sons in the civil war and wished she had 10 more..so according to that William I. Graham would have been in the war between the states...***

William I. Graham had a two story house built from lumber sent over from England. He and his wife Margaret lived on Old Reaves Ferry Road, Conway,SC just past the Price Cemetery today.
