Both husband and wife are buried at Walnut Hill Cemetery, Barren Co, KY. He enjoyed his "corn cob" pipe any time during the day. Rufus was a farmer; however, he bought and sold a considerable amount of land during his life time. He was an Elder in the Mount Vernon Church of Christ in Barren Co.
