About William I Hanby

William Hanby was born circa 1652 at Northampton Co, VA.

He did not remain there, but moved north to New Jersey and then back and forth across the Delaware River. At some time he associated with Quakers and may have become "convinced".

The name of his first wife is unknown. He may have had three wives altogether (two of them named Jean). http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=ann_blomq...

All of his descendants seem to have inherited some of his wanderlust, as it is this branch of the family that fans out all over the Mid-Atlantic and beyond.
