About William Hiram Lastinger
GEDCOM Note
According to Lastinger by William Thomas Lastinger (1946), he was a private in Company G, 29th Ga. Regiment, CSA. He moved to Texas with his family in 1886. He is buried at Waco, TX. According to The William henry Griffin papers, Volume I, Part II, his father moved in 1847 from dupont to the Joshua Lee place now known as the Banks Mill place. He studied law and was admitted to practice at Nashville about 1875. He was the Indian agent in 1880 and went to Waco, Texas where he spent the last years of his life.
