He was born Nov 7, 1919, in Henry County near Garland, and for many years he owned and operated the Riverside Resort at Warsaw, then moved to Peculiar. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Warsaw. Surviving are his wife, Betty, of the home; one son, William Eugene, of Springfield; one daughter, Mrs. Patsy Goodpasture, of Sedalia; one step-son and four step-daughters; his mother, Mrs. Belle Middaugh of Westwood in Clinton; two brothers, Leslie of Kansas City and Franklin B. (Tom) Middaugh of Peculiar; seven grandchildren. Funeral services will be Wednesday at the Ward Funeral Home in Chilhowee, and burial in the LaMonte, MO cemetery.
