The Fredericksburg, VA Free Lance 25 March 1905
W. M. Perry Dead
Mr. W. M. Perry, of Spotsylvania, died at the Mary Washington Hospital Friday morning after an illness of several weeks with typhoid fever, aged 54 years.
The deceased was a man respected by the large number of people to whom he was known and with whom he had business relations. For integrity no man in Spotsylvania held a higher position and it can be truly said "his word was as good as his bond." He was a member of Salem Baptist church and is survived by his widow and nine children - six daughter, three son. They are Mrs. James Kube, of Orange county; Mrs. Samuel Thomas, Misses Nettie, Ida, Lettie and Lena Perry, Larkin, Fred and Peyton Perry, all of Spotsylvania. His brothers are Messrs. Rollin Perry, Benjamin Perry and James Perry, of Spotsylvania; sister, Mrs. Joseph Skinner and Mrs. William Kent, of Spotsylvania.
The remains will be taken to his home Saturday and funeral services conducted by Reverend Decatur Edwards from Salem church Sunday at an hour to be named later.
