William Emilius Praeger:

field of biology. Emigrating to the USA c.1884, he graduated from Illinois University in 1900 with a degree in science. He was appointed Professor of Biology and Geology at Kalamazoo College in Michigan in 1905. His early education was in Holywood and then at The Royal Belfast Academical Institute
