William S. Rice

William S. Rice was born on 20 October 1824 at Floyd County, Kentucky. He was the son of Samuel Rice , Sr and Phoebe Hitchcock. William S. Rice married Elizabeth Mead, daughter of Moses Mead and Polly Hackworth, on 18 November 1843 at Floyd County, Kentucky. William S. Rice appeared on the census of 26 July 1850 at Floyd County, Kentucky, listed as William age 25 living with wife in home of father-in-law, Moses Mead. He appeared on the census of 19 July 1860 at Floyd County, Kentucky, listed as William age 36 head of house. He appeared on the census of 22 July 1870 at Floyd County, Kentucky, listed as William age 48 head of house. He appeared on the census of 18 June 1880 at Floyd County, Kentucky, listed as William age 59 head of house. He died before 1900.
