William was one of the pioneers at Bridport, Addison County, Vermont.
He and his wife Mercy, then of Bridport, Feb 1 1798, deeded for pounds to Moses Holden, of Barre, all their rights tot eh estate bequeathed to Mercy by Jonathan and Barnabas Fletcher. He was a farmer in Bridport and also a hunter and trapper.
