About William Peter Seggie
William Peter worked initially for Hewat, Dunn and Ramsey, Solicitors, Castle Douglas. He emigrated to Canada where he responded to the call to arms for WW2. He joined 3rd Regiment of the Canadian Mounted Rifles on 16 January 1915 and returned the UK to be shipped overseas. His military record names him as 108508 Sgt Cook William Peter Seggie. He had a wife, Mrs M A Seggie, 436 - 2nd St. S.E. Medicine Hat, Alta. No children have been identified to date. He was a keen sportsman and received a medal for playing football.
