William Turfus

WILLIAM TURFUS

William Turfus is the son of William Turfus, and his wife, Elizabeth Flett. He was born on 4 February 1856 and his birth was registered at Firth in Orkney, Scotland.

Death

William Turfus died at Holland in the Orkney parish of Firth, Scotland, on 26 July 1933. He was seventy-seven years of age [Memorial Inscription in Finstown Cemetery]

Monumental Inscription

Erected by JANE TURFUS in memory of her father WILLIAM TURFUS who died 25th Jan 1908 aged 83 years and BETSY FLETT wife of the above who died 25th Dec 1913 aged 86 years. MARGARET SMITH grandaughter of above who died 9th Dec 1891 aged 6 years. Also their son WILLIAM TURFUS who died at Holland Firth 26th July 1933 aged 77 years.
