About William Waller

He is frequently mentioned on the Colonial records. He was appointed ensign of the " Seabrook Train-band" 3 Oct, 1661, and confirmed by the General Court as lieutenant, 12 Oct., 1671. In October, 1663, he was one of the commissioners to state the west bounds of New London, and to set tle with the Mohegan chief, Uncas, for any of his lands taken ; he was a representative in 1665, in the first Court after the union with New Haven, and afterwards; 11 Oct., 1666, he was appointed by the Court, one of the •• Committee for enterteineing and approveing such as are receaved inhabitants on ye East side ye River at Sea-Brook."
