The death occurred to-day in Hamilton of Mr. William Waterson, aged 85. The son of Wairarapa pioneers, Mr. Waterson worked on development schemes in the district as a young man. Coming to the Auckland Province, he was in charge of road and bridge construction work for the Public Works Department in the Bay of Plenty, with headquarters at Opotiki and Tauranga. He retired to live in Hamilton 16 years ago. Mr. Waterson is survived by two sons and four daughters.
