William Otto Wise

Probably not the same person as Otto William Wise of Accomack County, VA. Birth date doesn't match, wife doesn't match, children don't match, death date and place don't match (Otto Wise of Accomack was childless, and stayed on the Eastern Shore, only moving up to Worcester County, Maryland).

What is seldom realized is that there were numerous John Wises in early Virginia, both mainside and on the Eastern Shore, and only *one* of them was the Col. John Wise who married Hannah Scarburgh.

The Brunswick County William Wise is recorded as "William Wise, Sr." - not "Otto" - and in association with a William Wise Jr. and a John Wise, possibly sons.
