William Zakok Bellamy [Convict "Active" 1791]

William Zadock BELLAMY was born 16/2/1772 St Andrew, Holborn, London, England (the son of William BELLAMY and Susanna ROFFE)

William was tried & convicted at the Old Bailey in December 1789 for stealing 6 pair of leather shoes valued at 30 shillings, from a shop and was sentenced to 7 years transportation. He arrived in Australian 26/9/1791 on the "Active"

William married Ann FAYE on 10/7/1797 at Parramatta and they had the following children

• James Zadock, born 9 May 1798 Pennant Hills; died 1875 Pennant Hills. He married (1) Hannah Singleton; (2) Martha Spencer Martin.
• William 1799
• Sarah , born 8 Oct 1800 Parramatta; died 1872 Gundagi. She married (1) Henry Clarke; (2) Benjamin Howarth.
• John , born 15 Mar 1803 Parramatta; died 1873 Pennant Hills. He married Margaret Kelly.
• Charlotte, born 1807; died 1811.

William died 14/11/1850 Pennant Hills and was buried at St John's Cemetery, Parramatta
