About Yaakov Blumenzon, of Widoma
called "Yekele of Widoma
The picture of the gravestone is that of Moshe Blumenzon, born 1870, an older brother of Aron Blumenzon, in Lodz. The gravestone says that he was the son of Shaya Shlomo, and descended from the Widomer Rabbi. The last letters, the hebrew acronym "T N Tz B H", mean "May his soul be bound up in the bond of everlasting life." It turns out that Jankel Blumenzon (1795-1885), the man who took the name "Blumenzon" in around 1818 (his mother's name was Blima), was a Hassidic Rabbi, also known as Yaakov of Widoma, the "Widomer Rabbi". Widoma was a small suburb, just across the Pilica river from Przedborz. There was a paragraph on him in the Przedborz Yizkor book, which my mother translated for me, so I have attached that also.
