Yaakov Sallomon Schnabl

SCHNABEL, Salomon familiant No. 116 (1796-) Already in 1789 his father had him credited one of the shops at the bridge under the monastery, which belonged to the house No. 58 (L. Pokorného 15). According to the lease contracts with the Třebíč estate, the so-called flusárna (potash production workshop) was rented from 1797. In house no. 58 he owned part B in the price of 150 gulden. He repeatedly held the office of magistrate and was often criticized for his actions and reported in the nobility office. The large file of official writings illustrates his unsuccessful struggle for the birthplace of his future son-in-law of Leble Podansky from Velké Meziříčí. He took in 1802 the daughter of the magistrate, only fifteen-year-old Libuschka. Salomon Schnabel used all legal and illegal options to enforce his intention. He did not succeed, as the domestic bidders had to have priority, and in the end the majority of the Jewish court also opposed the magistrate.
