About Yitta Rosenblum

Yitta had a twin, Sheindel, who died in infancy (less than a year old.)

She went to Budapest to stay with family and get some work as a maid. She thought she could save herself. In 1944, the Nazis rounded up many girls and took them to Austria where it is believed they were killed. She was never heard from again. It is assumed that she was killed in 1944 or 1945. She was 17 years old.

(Note: It is unclear if she went to live with relatives, or she went to live with a family for whom she worked.)
