About Yitzchok Perlov
In early childhood, he lived in Minsk, and then in Warsaw. He studied at the yeshiva and gymnasium. In 1939, after the outbreak of the Second World War, along with his wife, the actress Lola Folman, he was able to get connected to the USSR in Bialystok, where after the German attack on the USSR was evacuated to Central Asia. In 1946 he returned to Lodz. In 1947, Folman and Perlov tried to get to Palestine on board the ship "Exodus", but the ship was captured and interned with the passengers in Hamburg. In Germany, Perlov worked in camps for displaced persons. In 1949 he immigrated to Israel. In 1961 he immigrated to the United States. His first poem was published in 1928. Among his most important works are the poem "Exodus" and the novel "The People of 'Exodus'." Yitzchak Perlov died on November 17, 1980, and was buried in Mount Hebron Cemetery in Queens (New York, USA) in a plot belonging to the Jewish theater union.

Ицхок Перлов - поэт, прозаик, журналист. Родился 1 февраля в 1911 в Бяла-Подляска (Седлецкая губерния Российской империи; ныне Польша).
В раннем детстве жил в Минске, затем в Варшаве. Учился в йешиве и гимназии. В 1939 после начала Второй мировой войны вместе с женой, актрисой Лолой Фольман, сумел добраться в присоединенный к СССР Белосток, откуда после нападения Германии на СССР был эвакуирован в Среднюю Азию.
