FAIRFIELD - Yvonne E. Leary, 69, of Fairfield, passed peacefully and gracefully surrounded by her family on March 12, 2011, at her home. Yvonne was born in Waterville on Dec. 20, 1941, to the late Edwin and Anita (Cyr) Daigle. She was a graduate of Waterville High School, class of 1961.

Yvonne married Robert Leary on Feb. 23, 1963, and had one son, Michael. They resided in Fairfield for 48 years.

In her later years, she was employed by the Alfond Youth Center as Director of the Kid's Kitchen, and retired in November of 2010. She always referred to the Kid's Kitchen as her fun retirement job.

She is predeceased by her brother, Edwin Daigle and sister-in-law Theresa Daigle; and brother-in-law Reginal Leary.

Yvonne is survived by her husband of 48 years, Robert Leary; son Michael Leary; the love of her life and granddaughter, Brianna Leary; two brothers, Raymond Daigle and wife Pearl, and Norman Daigle and wife Lynn; brothers-in-law, Raymond Leary and Partner Claire Pelletier, and Ronald Leary and wife Hazel; sister-in-law Kathryn Leary; brothers-in-law Russell Leary and wife Beverly and Ronald Leary; sister-in-law Dodie Poulin and husband Guy; brother-in-law Richard Leary and wife Debbie and Roger Leary; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Spring burial will be held at Saint Francis Cemetery, Waterville. (Morning Sentinel 3/14/2011)
