"Howard married for the third time in May 1834, his bride being a widow Mrs Ann Tharratt, whose husband Tobias’ had died the previous year. Because Ann owned John Niland’s original village lot, Howard found himself returning for a time to live upon his old location."

Tobias THARRATT, bachelor, of the parish of Woolwich in the County of Kent married Ann VERRY, widow of this parish, by Licence on 17 June 1803 in St. Alphege, Greenwich. Both signed their names. Witnesses: William COOPER and Eleanor CORFIELD
