Gui de Brosse and other lords with their vassals, are part of the corps under the command of Raymond de Saint Gilles , Count of Toulouse , who joins the First Crusade . Back from Palestine , with members of the army of Raymond, he settled in the territory of the present province of Languedoc where it is considered as the original stock of the different branches (alias Broce then Pin) who lived this province.
In 1114 , Gui de Brosse follows Guilhem V , Lord of Montpellier , surnamed the Great Captain, in his expedition against the Saracens who ruled the islands Balearic Islands of Mallorca and Menorca and where they are expelled. In 1119 , he accompanied Bertrand , Count of Toulouse, in the business of the city of Tripoli in Lebanon. In a plaid, held at Bridge Sorgues by Alphonse Jourdain, count of Toulouse and Marquis of Provence , Gui is named among the barons present at the meeting in the charter which mentions, dated 8 September 1126 in the city of Orange .
