6 In the name of God Amen. I John Quiggin of Balla-Gary in the Parish of Braddan being of sound and perfect Mind and memory, make this my last Will and Testament; in manner and form following - Imprimis. I commend my soul to God and my Body to Christian Burial. ~ Itm. I leave and bequeath to my Daughter Jane seven Pounds. Itm. I leave to my Daughter Margaret seven Pounds. ~ Itm. I leave to my son John two Sheep. Lastly - I leave and bequeath to my son Thos Quiggin, whom I likewise constitute, ordain and appoint (the whole and sole) Execr. of this my last Will and Testamt.all the residue and remainder of my Goods, Chattels, Rights and Effects; movable and immovable, of what kind or denomination so ever - leaving & bequeathing six pence Legacy, to any Person or Persons, claiming or pretending any right or Title unto any of my Goods whatsoever. As Witness my Name and Mark this of February 1801. Signed published and | John Quiggin my X mark declared in presence of | Cath Kissage my X mark Wm Killey Jun At a Chapter Court holden at Douglas June 22d 1802. Notwithstanding this will is proved but by one witness yet at no objections has been offered the executor is sworn in court in form of Law and hath given Pledges for the pay: ment of Debts & Legacies namely John Kelly of Braddan and Wm.Killey the witnesses Probatum est Thos Cubbon [transcribed from photocopy of microfilm 07 Nov 01 tcd]
