About young wife late in life

While Winnemucca had fallen ill an attempts were made to heal him, this unnamed woman and her child were ritually executed as it was thought that her spirit as a force of evil was killing her husband.
This brutal set of events is chronicled in a biography of Sarah Winnemucca, her step-daughter.
