About Ridlinda de Carcasona, comtessa consort de Besalú
Countess of Besalú. Probably sister of Anna (wife of Esteve, loyal retainer of the king of the Franks, Charles III) and, therefore, daughter of Alaric, count of L'Empúries, and of Rodruda (daughter of Count Berà I of Barcelona). Married to Count Radulf I of Besalú, they both received from Anna (876) Trullars, Pesillà de la Ribera (Rosselló), Corva (El Conflent) and Romanyà de Besalú. In 887, she and her husband purchased the Church of Sant Llorenç del Mont from abbot Riamir of Sant Aniol D'Aguja and donated the village of Pesillà to the Monastery of La Grassa in 903. Mother of a landowner of Besalú (Oliba) and of a certain Bernat, married to Uldegarda, daughter of Count Frèdol I of Tolosa, she was a widow by 920. She may be a certain Relindes (or Ridlinda) known as Ríxica, who donated Sant Pere de Sedret (Sardinia) to the Monastery of La Grassa and to its abbot, Guitisà.
