About Gella Ewa Jontof-Hutter

"Gelle David Tritsch" on the Familiant of her son Joachim Jontof-Hutter. https://www.geni.com/documents/view?doc_id=6000000141866933458

Called Ewa in 1794 census and on death notice (and Sara in the index to the death records).

Could also be daughter of David Enoch Tritsch. David Enoch Tritsch

I thought at first that Gelle is the daughter of David Enoch, but I now believe that is not correct, unless he was also married once before he married Chayle Scheberles, which seems unlikely and I have not found evidence for that.

Cheyle Scheberles marries David “Goldschmidt” [Tritsch] on 4 Nov 1765. https://www.geni.com/documents/view?doc_id=6000000141866933461

Cheyle is called “Ester Dawid Trietscht” in the 1792 census, house 223 (CCXXIII), page 66, Witwe, lebt von Almosen. http://pvh.ff.cuni.cz/zidi/Praha_1792.pdf

In the two indices for Wolschan Chayle, daughter of Hersch Scheberles and wife of David Tritsch is listed as dying 28 Iyar 5557 (24 May 1797).

Gella is likely to be same as Ewa who died 1798, age 40. Gella is alive in 1786 for birth of Lemel Hirsch. I did not find an earlier death record for Gella, nor did I find another marriage of Isak Löw Jontof-Hutter before he re-marries in 1799.

So if Gella is born around 1758 (probably earlier?), and marries in 1773, she is not likely to be the child of David Tritsch and Cheyle Scheberles, who marry only in 1765.

More likely is that Gella is the daughter of David Tritsch Ramschak.

See also Marcus Dawid Tritsch (or Ramesach, see footnote), Handerlejude, in 1792 census, page 64, house CCXIV (214) http://pvh.ff.cuni.cz/zidi/Praha_1792.pdf

He is listed with his father Dawid Ramrak, Witwer, in 1794, page 250 http://pvh.ff.cuni.cz/zidi/Praha_1794.pdf

Marcus David Tritsch is also born around 1758.

And I pointed out earlier, David Tritsch Ramrad [Ramschak] dies 8 May 1793, house 213

Remaining questions I am working on.

1. Why is Dawid Ramschak also called Dawid Tritsch. What is his connection to the Tritsch family, or did he just live there for a while? The naming of a daughter Gella might be a clue, since Gella is a name that comes up in the David Enoch Tritsch family, not just his foster mother Gelle Goldschmidt, but also his grandmother.

2. Where did you get the ages of David and Isaac in the 1748 census? Or is that only from the Mohelbuch entries?

3. Are there two Enochs, son of David and son of Menke? Who is Menke?

4. Who is Feisch, the father of Salomon Tritsch, who dies 4 March 1820, age 72? https://www.geni.com/documents/view?doc_id=6000000141866933485

screen_shot_2018-05-25_at_12_original.jpg

Screen Shot 2018-05-25 at 12.59.35 PM.png

I also need to explore also David Feit Beer Tritsch aus Triesch, (a brother of Salomon b. Feisch?) who marries 29 March 1789, age 25 to Ester Lazar Wahle, age 19. https://www.geni.com/documents/view?doc_id=6000000141866933488 I don’t see him in the 1792 or 1794 census, and hope that his wife is not the widow Ester David Tritsch in the 1792 census.

6. How is Rabbi Eleaser b. David Fleckeles/Ramschak related to the rest of the Ramschaks?

7. Who was Rabbi Mose Schulklepper? And why did Marcus Fischel attribute his forged chronicle to Ramschak?

Of course, I know you are busy with other things, so I do not expect you to work on any of these. But I always appreciate the opportunity to discuss and learn new things from you.

Yours,

Randy
