About Suppo I, duke of Spoleto

-https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suppo_I - Suppo I (or Suppone) (died 5 March 824) was a Frankish nobleman who held lands in the Regnum Italicum in the early ninth century.

In 817, he was made Count of Brescia, Parma, Piacenza, Modena, and Bergamo. He was also made a missus dominicus, along with the Brescian bishop Ratald, for Italy. In 818, he was instrumental in putting down the rebellion of Bernard against the Emperor, Louis the Pious. In 822, after the abdication and death of Duke Winiges, Suppo was created Duke of Spoleto by the grateful emperor and he passed Brescia to his son Mauring. Suppo's death was recorded by Einhard and Spoleto went to Adelard, who died within five months, leaving the duchy to Mauring, Duke of Spoleto.

Suppo probably had a Lombard wife, for his second son was named Adelchis.

SUPPO [I], son of --- (-[5 Mar] 824[890]). Of Frankish origin. Count of Brescia, Parma, Piacenza, Modena and Bergamo in 817. The Vita Hludowici Imperatoris names "Rathaldo episcopi et Suppone comite Brixiensi" as missi [in 817][891]. He was instrumental in suppressing the revolt of Bernard ex-King of Italy[892]. He was installed as SUPPO I Duke of Spoleto in 822[893]. Einhard's Annales record that "Winigisius dux Spolitinus" died in 822 after becoming a monk, and that he was succeeded by "Suppo Brixiæ civitatis comes"[894]. Einhard's Annales record the announcement of the death "III Non Mar" of "Suppo dux Spolitinus"[895]. He was succeeded as Duke of Spoleto by "Adalhard the younger", who died "after holding the office for barely five months"[896].

m ---. The name of the Duke Suppo's wife has not yet been identified. However, the fact that their son was named Adelgis suggests a Lombard origin. Duke Suppo [I] & his wife had two children:
