About Johann Anton Inquart

Jan Antonín was a servant of the Count František Antonín Nostice-Rieneck (1725-1794), cursor apud comitem Nostitz natione Clominensis (Chlumín), Bohemus Klominensis dicitur liber Inserviens a Comite Franc. Ant, Nostitz. Registries from Prague (Malá Strana) inform us about his seven children (one daughter and six sons) born during the years 1771-1781. Their birth names appear in the baptismal registers in variants - Inquart, Inkvart, Engvarth, Enqvart, Inqvart and Ingqvart. The family lived in Prague near the Count residence in the Nostic Palace (Malá Strana). Jan Antonín served Count Nostic throughout his life. Based on the baptismal records of his grandchildren we know that he also served as an economic officer (accountant, treasurer). At the end of his life he probably also worked at Nostic's country estate - at the chateau in Měšice near Pakoměřice, Wirschaft Beamter in Mieschitz Graf Nostittzischer Herrschafts. It is a rococo castle and farm buildings for servants. The chateau served as the administrative center of the estate and its owners also used it for summer stays. In the years 1779-1785 lived here Josef Dobrovský - czech priest, philologist, historian and founder of scientific czech studies and slavonic studies and also home teacher of Nostic descendants. Count Nostic-Rieneck was also a patriot, patron. He contributed to the status of the Estates Theater in Prague in 1781; At that time it was called Count Nostitz Theater. The second, but smaller, Nostic theater, in the form of a garden pavilion, was built by Count Nostic in the garden of his Lesser Town palace. Anyway, Jan Antonin Ingvort was among the very interesting people of his time.
